Food diversity improves seniors’ health

Study investigates how dietary variety impacts the overall health of seniors in China.

Dietary diversity is an indicator of nutrient intake among the elderly. Previous research has primarily examined dietary diversity and the risks of chronic and infectious diseases and cognitive impairment; limited evidence shows the association between dietary diversity and the overall health status of specific populations with a heterogeneity analysis.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary diversity on health status among older Chinese adults.
